My 2004 London Marathon

Time: 3:04

Yes it's me!

I was also collared at the finish by RW's intrepid reporters who noticed my unsuitable post-race attire (I had concentrated on packing for the evening after with the forum folk and forgot about track suit type items).

The arrival of Jon to swell the supporters (apparently) coincided with my arrival at 18 miles so most of the crowd had their backs to me as he is a bit of a celeb! It reminded me of a match I went to at Burnley once when the fans were trying to get shut of their manager. However this was once again the best part of the race for me, shame I couldn't stop to chat.

Just read the questions properly so here are a few answers-

  • Best moment- the forum group at 18 miles
  • Worst- nearly bringing up the lucozade I'd just drank at 5 miles
  • Goal- sub 3 (yet agin)
  • Time- 3:04 something

I raced and paced well, all went to plan but my training needs tweaking- a fast 10k towards the end of this year should do the trick

Celebrating-  Out with the forum chaps of course.
