My 2004 London Marathon

Time: 3:41

Best moment-the sound of the drums heading into the flyover, the support, seeing my family and friends, the finsh line!

Biggest surprise-how easy it was to get close to the front of the blue start and being passed by a 'womble' at 8 miles, and how I managed to run the course exactly as Runners World described on the website

Goal-to finish under 4 hours. Finishing time of 3 hours and 41 minutes!

Differences-none-it couldn't have gone any better for my first marathon!

Celebration-A shed load of beer this weekend and a big kiss for my lovely wife Petra, Shannon, Molly and Niall(the kids), Sharon and Mark (Handshake for Mark-no kisses!)
