It’s one of the most talked-about runs of the year – and with good reason.
The Plusnet Yorkshire Half Marathon-Sheffield burst onto the city’s streets for the first time in 2015. With an unashamedly challenging but stunning course, an electric city centre start and finish and crowds to rival the Tour de France, it was instantly hailed a huge success.
Now it’s back for a second outing on Sunday 10th April with thousands getting set to take part.
Also back is the event’s race-within-a-race – where runners can vie to be crowned King or Queen of the Hill in the uphill first stage or try for the fastest 10K in a super-fast downhill race to the finish; it’s a great chance to snap up that sought-after negative split!
A free-to-enter Mini and Junior run – for ages 3 to 14 – takes place alongside the main event, making this half marathon a real family affair. Groups can also battle it out for bragging rights in the Team Challenge.
