Run for International Women’s Day 2018

From Bobbi Gibb – the first recognised woman to run the Boston Marathon, to Paula Radcliffe’s record breaking 2003 London Marathon time of 2.15.25, it’s not hard to find female runners worth celebrating.

This Thursday 8th March, the world is celebrating International Women’s Day – a global event that honours the social, cultural and political achievements of women. To commemorate the day, teams of women all over the country are lacing up their trainers to go for a run. Some will be celebrating the achievements of women throughout history, others will be raising money for female charities.

If you want to get involved, why not join one of the runs listed below, or share your own achievements with us on Twitter using the hashtag #IWDrun.
