First look: Saucony Guide 10

The shoe: Saucony Guide 10

In a nutshell: Offers support and structure but without the associated weight.

The technology: Featuring EVERUN Topsole construction, TRI-FLEX outsole and FLEXFILM overlays, the Guide 10 isn’t vastly different to its predecessor, the Guide 9. Still, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it – the small tweaks to midfoot structure and the mesh upper mean the Guide 10 delivers the same great support you’d expect with only positive results from the updates.

What Saucony says: “The 10th edition of [the iconic Guide] shoe delivers the ideal Guide running experience with a streamlined midsole design, dynamic engineered mesh upper and TRI-FLEX outside with enhanced forefoot flexibility.”

What we say: “With the springy EVERUN sole and sturdy upper, the Guide 10 offers brilliant support for mild overpronators like myself. I was particularly impressed with how light the shoe felt – unlike many stability models, it didn’t feel clumpy at all. While the slim toebox may not suit every runner, overall the Guide 10 is a strong choice for an overpronator’s day-to-day training.” – Georgia Scarr, Deputy Digital Editor
