SMITH PIVLOCK ARENA
With the simplest lens exchange system, the ease of use of the PivLock Arena makes these a great running sunglass if you like to tailor your lens to the light conditions on a regular basis. The lack of frame also means visibility is excellent, but can often be detrimental to fit. This isn't the case here and with an adjustable nose bridge too, these glasses have been on regular rotation during summer.
OAKLEY FLIGHT JACKET
Available in many colours, bright and muted, the Flight Jacket is a crossover glass from Oakley that does it for runners and cyclists alike. The main sell is the adjustbale nose piece and open topped frame to help with fogging on hot, sweaty runs. They are expensive though.
CEBE S’TRACK LARGE PRO
Sunnies that hit that sweet spot between lightness and durability. Both frame and lenses are shatter-resistant, while the nose grip does its job excellently.
£84.55, Outdoor GB
BOLLE BOLT SATIN CRYSTAL SMOKE
These sit lightly but securely on your face and don’t rub, no matter how long you wear them. The sweatier you get, the tighter the nose and temple pads grip.
£100, Sunglasses Shop
NIKE FLEX FINESSE
The fashion-forward shape of these women’s glasses means they can be used for training sessions and leisurewear. They’re light and durable, and the hinges are reinforced.
SUNWISE PEAK MK 1
These lack the refinement of more expensive sunglasses, but for not a lot of money you get full UVA/UVB protection and wraparound coverage, and the frame is flexible.
OAKLEY CROSS-RANGE PRIZM
These are superb: the lenses adapt to varying light conditions and give crystal clarity, while the arms detach and can be switched between sports and leisure options.
If you’re a bit of clutz you’ll love these. The lenses are shatterproof and the frame bends under stress to stop the glasses from snapping.
