Some running kit can look intimidating, and snazzy racing shoes are a prime example. But there’s no mystery here: they’re simply a stripped-down shoe designed to make you go faster on race day. No matter what your size, shape or level of experience there’s a racer that’s suitable for you.
You don’t even have to properly break them in – they’re best kept for race day only – although it’s a good idea to wear new shoes around the house and for an initial run just to get used to the feel of the lighter structure.
