Record-breaking weekend for GB athletes at the Anniversary Games

Dina Asher-Smith has become the first GB woman to break an 11-second 100m, finishing in just 10.99 seconds at this weekend’s Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games. This marks an improvement on her previous British record of 11.02. 

In the International Paralympic Committee Grand Prix, Georgina Hermitage set a new world record of one minute 2.48 seconds for the T37 400m, while T38 sprinter Sophie Hahn hit a 13-second 100m.

Meanwhile, Mo Farah ran the fastest 3,000m of 2015, winning in seven minutes 34.66 seconds.
