1. Pippa Middleton, 3:56:33
The younger sister of Kate Middleton herself, Pippa is often remembered for her bridesmaid duties rather than running performances. That said, she often completes marathons in exotic locations and her PB and first marathon was the Safaricom Marathon in Kenya, where she finished in 3:56:33 – the seventh overall female. More recently, Middleton completed the 2016 Great Wall Marathon in China, finishing with a time of 4:54:51 and a position as the 13th fastest female.
2. Amy Childs, 5:47:12
Finishing the 2013 London Marathon in 5:47:12 , the former TOWIE star ran with a face full of makeup and a pouch containing Kelly babies, lip gloss and a mobile phone, telling Digital Spy she needed it near as a way of getting in touch with someone in case she got ‘lost’.
3. Katie Price, 7:11:00
Despite dropping out after 10K of the 2018 London Marathon, Katie Price, aka Jordan, was helped across the line of the 2009 race by her then husband Peter Andre. She later told OK magazine that she sadly suffered a miscarriage whilst running the marathon.
4. James Cracknell, 2:43:12
Double Olympic gold medallist, Cracknell frequently takes part in events out of the water in aid of charity. He’s taken part in the South Pole Race and a 1,400 mile journey from the UK to Africa running, rowing and cycling. His fastest marathon time was at the 2017 London Marathon.
5. Chris Evans, 4:41:06
Former Top Gear host, Evans completed his fourth London Marathon in 2018. His best time of 4:41:06 was in the 2017 race.
6. Ryan Reynolds, 3:50:22
Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds ran the 2008 New York Marathon to raise money for Parkinson’s, in honour of his father who suffered from the disease.
7. Jenni Falconer, 3:54:53
This radio and TV presenter has completed the London Marathon a whopping six times. Her best time was in the 2015 race.
8. Greg James, 4:26:32
The Radio 1 DJ completed the 2015 London Marathon on 26th April 2015.
9. Natalie Dormer, 3:50:57
Aged 36, Dormer is best known for playing Margaery Tyrell on the HBO series Game of Thrones. Running the 2016 London Marathon in 3:51:21, Dormer said: “I’m a tiny bit peeved”, running 24 seconds slower than her first marathon in 2014, where she crossed the line in 3:50:57.
10. Gordon Ramsey, 3:30:37
Known all over the globe as that swearing British chef, Ramsey completed his fastest marathon in London in 2004. He’s also an Ironman finisher, plus his restaurants have been awarded 16 Michelin stars in total – impressive.
11. Kevin Hart, 4:05:06
Aged 38, Kevin Hart is not only the familiar voice on the Nike plus running app, but was a Runner’s World US cover star.
12. Eddie Izzard, 5:00:30
As if the challenge of one marathon wasn’t enough, in 2009 Izzard ran 43 marathons in 51 days after just five weeks of training for Sports Relief. He recorded his best time of 5:00:30 on his last marathon, completing a 1,100-mile journey around Britain.
13. Alicia Keys, 5:50:52
Singer Alicia Keys joined nearly 50,000 runners through the “concrete jungle where dreams are made of” in the 2015 New York Marathon. The race was her second marathon.
14. Pamela Anderson, 5:41:03
Baywatch star Pamela Anderson ran her first 26.2 at the 2013 New York Marathon.
15. Katie Holmes, 5:29:58
After stopping to greet her then-husband Tom Cruise and daughter Suri at mile 23, Katie Holmes crossed the finish line of the 2007 New York City Marathon looking so photogenic, her finishing photos launched an elaborate conspiracy theory that she hadn’t actually run the race at all.

Funny man and Anchorman star Will Ferrell is another former Runner’s World US cover star, who completed the Boston Marathon in 2003. Telling reporters at the finish line: “Running a marathon us not a question of whether it will be painful, but when it will be painful. It does help to have a sense of humour, but I’m also respectful of the race.”

The Mysterious Girl singer crossed the line of the London Marathon with his then wife Katie Price in 2009. Andre had been running for NSPCC.
18. Rochelle Humes, 5:27:47
Completing her first marathon for Teenage Cancer Trust, The Saturdays singer and mum-of-two crossed the line of the 2018 London Marathon in just under five and a half hours.

The Formula One racing driver proved he is just as fast off the track, finishing the 2015 London Marathon in 2:52:30.

The Made in Chelsea star ran the 2015 London Marathon for the British Heart Foundation, crossing the line in just over three hours.

Completing her first marathon in 2013, the classical music star ran the London Marathon in under five and a half hours. Spectators were quick to criticise the singer on the amount of make-up she was wearing and her huge sunglasses, before Jenkins said it was a sorry example of “women hating other women.”

The Britain’s Got Talent judge was spotted at the London Landmarks Half Marathon this year, running for Tommy’s charity. Holden also ran the London Marathon in 2008 for the Born Free Foundation, finishing in 4:13:22.

American actress Teri Hatcher is best known for playing Susan Mayer in Desperate Housewives. She finished the 2014 New York City Marathon in 5:06:42.
26. James ‘Arg’ Argent, 06:01:01
Another TOWIE star to take on the London Marathon, James Argent, better known as ‘Arg’ on the show, crossed the line in just over six hours. However it was his sister, Natasha Argent who made the headlines a few years later, after taking a controversial detour, meaning she missed 11 of the 24 checkpoints along the route and finishing the final 20km in 48 minutes.

After winning the 2001 ITV talent contest Pop Idol, Will Young has been in the spotlight, appearing on Strictly Come Dancing and in various musical theatre shows. He also ran the London Marathon in 2011 and 2012, raising money for Catch 22. His best time was in 2011.

Princess Beatrice became the first member of the Royal family to run the London Marathon in 2010, as part of 33 runners making up a human caterpillar. She kept a bodyguard by her side at all times and was separated from the masses by a bungee cord.

Transformers star Shia LaBeouf ran his first, and fastest, marathon in 2010 in Los Angeles.
30. Lorraine Kelly, 6:13:52
TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has run four marathons in her time – three in London and one in New York. At her last London Marathon in 2010, Kelly raised money for Children with Cancer crossed the line in just over six hours.

Boyzone singer Ronan Keating was beaten to the finish of the 2008 London Marathon by fellow bandmate Keith Duffy. That said, he still had an impressive time of less than four hours.

Well-known Dolce & Gabbana model David Gandy took part in the 2011 London Marathon, raising money for Oxfam.

The British designer finished the 2011 London Marathon with an impressive time of 3 hours 28 minutes, but tweeted: “NEVER AGAIN” after the race, telling fans he was “hobbling to Miami”.

British model Agyness Dean also raised money for Oxfam, finishing in 4 hours and 45 minutes. After the race, she tweeted “Running the marathon is such a powerful experience which digs deep into the soul of your being. I highly recommend.”

Australian singer-songwriter Natalie Imbruglia finished the London Marathon in 2010, crossing the line in five hours.

Is there anything she can’t do? Oprah ran the Marine Corps Marathon back in 1994, finishing in under four and a half hours.

Double Olympic Gold medallist Helen Glover is well known for her rowing achievements with partner Heather Stanning. Yet she also ran an impressive London Marathon time in 2017, raising money for the Brain and Spine Foundation.

The I’m a Celebrity contestant and beauty pageant winner took on the London Marathon in 2014, raising money for the Chickenshed Charity. Admitting she was “terrified” beforehand, Willerton crossed the line in six hours and eight minutes.

The ex-England and Liverpool striker Michael Owen took ran the London Marathon in 2014, finishing in a speedy three hours and 45 minutes.

The then shadow chancellor Ed Balls ran his third London Marathon in 2014, finishing with his fastest time and achieving his goal of sub five hours.
41. Sir Richard Branson, 5:02:24
One of Britain’s highest-profile billionaires, Branson ran the London Marathon in 2010. In fact, he was so taken with the day, he signed a contract committing one of his business ventures Virgin Money to be the title sponsor of the event.
