Guess which Love Island contestants have run half marathons

which love island contestants are runners?

Love it or loathe it, it’s hard to avoid Love Island at the moment. As the nation becomes obsessed with the Eyal, Alex, Hayley love triangle, and the whiteness of Jack’s teeth, here at Runner’s World we have one thing on our minds as they jog slowly to their next challenge – are any of them runners?

It turns out it’s not such a stupid question, and whilst there’s not much room in the Love Island villa for running, in the ‘real world’ these contestants have all pulled on their trainers and taken on a half-marathon.

1. Dani Dyer, 02:02:47

Essex girl Dani Dyer took to Instagram to celebrate her Hackney half-marathon finish a month before entering the villa, using the caption: “Half-marathon done!! 2:20!!! Loved it but I am never doing a full one.” On clarifying her finishing time, it turns out Dani actually finished in 2:02:47, (her gun time was 2:24:01) – well done Dani.

2. Eyal Booker, 2:50:06

A controversial figure in this year’s villa, Eyal ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon back in 2016 with his mum, crossing the line in two hours and 50 minutes. In his Instagram post, he wrote: “Today my mum and I ran the Royal half Marathon to raise money and awareness for the charity Young Epilepsy. It was tough but we did it!!”

3. Jamie Jewitt, 01:42:48

Before going into the villa, 2017 Love Island contestant Jamie Jewitt challenged himself to run a half marathon every weekend. From the looks of his Nike Plus screenshots, he was pretty speedy too. Accompanying the screenshot was the caption: “personal challenge: aim for one ½ marathon a week. This was Friday’s. #challengeyourself #menshealth #askjamie.’

4.  Josh Denzel

Although Denzel hasn’t completed a half-marathon (that we know of), he qualifies for this list after running with Sir Mo Farah himself in his day job as a presenter for LADbible and SPORTBible.

5. Gabby Allen

Another contestant who might not have actually completed 13.1 miles, but seems to love running, you might recognise 2017’s Gabby Allen from the Asics Sakura campaigns. She’s also got a treadmill at home, where she clocks up most of her miles, writing on Instagram: “I love a steady state long distance run working on pushing my endurance and stamina, I get a lot of thinking done too, work is done on the treadmill.”
